Off again!!!

[3:29 pm]

Sorry for the lack of updates!!!

I was involved in back-to-back training stints which left me pretty drained out ever since I came back from the Holy Land.

I had to force myself to relax by going for an overseas diving trip, which turned out to be a good decision. In the end when I came back to work yesterday, I was fully recharged and able to concentrate on clearing up the paperwork before flying off on Thursday.

For the past few weeks, I was also scheming my way around my rotation out of the department. Apparently I heard on the grapevine that I would be rotated out to the "corporate" headquarters to gain more exposure.

While this rotation plan is highly welcomed, it would spoil the plans that I have already laid in place. Hence I spoke to my boss on the pretext that there would not be anyone who is experienced enough to hold the fort in the months to come. Boss was convinced and will discuss with the higher management on this.

But other than that, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will happen, else I will personally take a walk to the higher management's office to present my case.

I will try to blog about my adventures in Canada..once I am over there.

Wish me luck!!

The new flu bug strikes!!

[6:45 pm]

The flu bug sure has wreaked havoc on everyone within a span of 2 weeks. I got a shock of my life when two out of the fifteen places I have been to had confirmed cases.

So does that mean I will have to be quarantined? Luckily I did not have any fever and its been exactly one week after my return from the two affected countries. But I will sure be under the watch list by the organisation.

In addition, seems like my impending overseas training trip to Canada at the end of the month has a high chance of being cancelled. The management is still deliberating the decision and base on precedence, it will sure be cancelled.

Damn..

Hopefully, this flu bug will die a natural death and not come back to "bug" us anymore..and we can go for our overseas training..

P.S . Dropped a text message to S yesterday expressing concern for her safety since she is in the flying business and interacts with the passengers often. She's in US now, hopefully she will be fine.
